What's New
A short changelog of recently shipped capabilities, newest first. Dates are reconstructed from commit history; entries sharing the earliest recorded date predate this changelog's own per-commit tracking, so they're grouped there rather than individually ordered within that day.
AI Onboarding
23 Jul 2026
A new AI Onboarding page (Architecture Catalog β AI Onboarding) turns an uploaded architecture document, spreadsheet (CSV/XLSX), diagram image, or pasted text into draft Applications, Technologies, Capabilities and Data Assets. Each draft carries a confidence level and rationale, and is reviewed through the same form used everywhere else before it becomes a real record β nothing is created automatically.
AI-assisted rationalization suggestions
23 Jul 2026
Analysis β Rationalization now has an AI Suggestions panel: it proposes a TIME disposition and flags cost-saving candidates for applications that aren't yet classified and don't already have a decision in flight, each with a confidence level and short rationale. Advisory only β a suggestion becomes a real decision only once a reviewer explicitly saves it through the existing decision form.
Glossary and Troubleshooting & FAQ chapters
23 Jul 2026
Two new reference chapters round out the manual: a Glossary disambiguating terms that sound alike but mean different things in Eidon (Service vs. Architectural Service, Recertification vs. Survey, the two separate weighted-options matrices, and more), and a Troubleshooting & FAQ chapter answering the "why is this happening to me" questions that come up often enough to be worth writing down once β missing nav groups, read-only forms, forced password resets, and the like.
Real group containers in the diagram editor
17 Jul 2026
Frames in the structured diagram editor are now true containers, not just a visual backdrop: drag a shape into a Frame and it becomes part of it β moving, resizing, deleting or duplicating the Frame carries its contents along; drag a shape back out and it's freed again. Frames can nest inside one another. This works the same way under live multi-user editing, including two people reparenting different shapes into different Frames at the same moment.
The manual is now a proper multi-page wiki
15 Jul 2026
This manual moved from one long scrolling page to per-chapter pages with a persistent sidebar, each with its own URL β easier to link directly to the chapter you need, and content is now authored in Markdown behind the scenes rather than requiring a code change to fix a typo.
Service Architecture & Strategic Position Papers
15 Jul 2026
Two new EA-catalog capabilities: Service Architecture (Architecture Catalog β Service Architecture, part of the sa module) is a technical/SOA service catalog β service type, criticality tier, SLA and ownership, with governed retirement β distinct from Service Design's customer-facing Service. Strategic Position Papers (Architecture Catalog β Position Papers) is a governed strategic-direction document moving through Framing β Positioning β Transitioning β publication, with a weighted options comparison and delivery Work Packages that promote straight into the Business Engagement demand pipeline. See the Solution Architecture and Governance chapters respectively.
A LeanIX-comparable User Manual
12 Jul 2026
This manual has been substantially expanded to match the depth of SAP LeanIX's own help documentation: three new chapters cover Solution Architecture, Service Design and Business Engagement in full, existing chapters have been split into more granular, deeper sections, and the manual now embeds screenshots of nearly every page in the product rather than a handful of highlights.
Solution Architecture, Service Design & Business Engagement modules
12 Jul 2026
Eidon now ships three additional licensable modules alongside the original Nexus Enterprise Intelligence product: Forge (Solution Architecture β requirements, options, a weighted decision matrix and building blocks for individual solutions), Loom (Service Design β personas, journey maps and service blueprints with pain-point and moment-of-truth flags), and Catalyst (Business Engagement β a demand pipeline from public intake through triage to delivery, with promotion onto the strategy roadmap). Each is independently entitled β a workspace can run any combination of Nexus, Forge, Loom, Catalyst and the standalone Canvas diagramming product.
Generic entity surveys & recertifications
12 Jul 2026
A tokenised, publicly-respondable survey mechanism now works against any core catalog entity (not just capability maturity), and the "seal breaks on edit by a non-owner" recertification safeguard has been extended across Applications, Capabilities, Technologies and Data Assets.
Richer Architecture Patterns
12 Jul 2026
Patterns now carry benefits and trade-offs fields, can be related to one another (alternative to, complements, supersedes), can link to the principles that motivate their use, and can be linked to diagrams and to Architecture Decisions β turning the pattern catalog into something that can actually steer a choice, not just describe one option in isolation.
Diagrams linked to objects
12 Jul 2026
A new Diagrams area lets you draw Data Flow, Free Draw and Target Architecture canvases, seed them from your live inventory, link them to catalog objects so they appear on each object's page, and export to draw.io/Visio. Diagrams keep a version history with rollback and show live presence while editing.
Security & Resilience report
12 Jul 2026
A new report under Reports aggregates every application's CIA ratings (confidentiality/integrity/availability), security classification, and business-continuity / disaster-recovery status, and flags governance gaps β critical apps with no DR or BC plan, and sensitive/protected data with weak confidentiality or integrity.
Richer Executive Summary
12 Jul 2026
The Executive Summary now includes Cost & TCO, Risk Posture, and Security & Resilience sections alongside the existing portfolio, maturity, obsolescence, decisions, roadmap and data-quality coverage β a complete one-page board brief.
Vendor Risk score breakdown
12 Jul 2026
On the Vendor Risk page you can now click any vendor to expand a breakdown showing how its composite risk score is calculated β the concentration, renewal, spend and ownership sub-scores, their weights, and each one's contribution.
Task-oriented manual & walkthroughs
12 Jul 2026
This manual now includes step-by-step Guided Walkthroughs (with the minimum role for each task) and supports inline annotated screenshots, in addition to the existing reference chapters.
